Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services in Southern Minnesota
Living with a mental health condition can make everyday tasks feel overwhelming. But with the right support, you can build the skills and confidence to live more independently and achieve your personal goals. At Inspire Services, our Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) program in Southern Minnesota is designed to help adults strengthen their ability to manage symptoms, improve daily functioning and connect with their communities.
What is ARMHS?
ARMHS is a community based service for adults (18+) diagnosed with a serious mental illness. It focuses on teaching practical skills for everyday living while addressing emotional and social challenges.
Rather than just therapy sessions in a clinic, ARMHS brings support to where you need it most—your home and community. This makes learning more relevant, practical and sustainable.
Goals of ARMHS
Our ARMHS program helps clients:
- Daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and money management
- Learn healthy coping strategies for managing symptoms and stress
- Strengthen communication and interpersonal skills
- Build routines that promote stability and independence
- Increase community involvement and social connection
- Improve problem solving and decision making abilities
- Boost self confidence and self advocacy
Who Qualifies for ARMHS?
You may be eligible for ARMHS if you:
- Are 18 or older
- Have a qualifying mental health diagnosis, such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or anxiety disorders
- Experience difficulty managing everyday tasks or living independently
- Have had a diagnostic assessment within the past 12 months showing medical necessity for ARMHS services
ARMHS is available to individuals with Medical Assistance (MA) or other qualifying coverage. Our team can assist with eligibility questions and help with the referral process.
How Services Are Provided
ARMHS is designed to be flexible and individualized. Services may take place:
- In your home
- In the community
- At one of our Inspire Services clinic locations
Sessions are typically one-on-one with a mental health practitioner or mental health rehabilitation worker, so you get personalized attention and skill development.
Our Approach ARMHS in Southern Minnesota
At Inspire Services, ARMHS is not a one size fits all program. We believe in tailoring support to each person’s strengths, challenges and goals.
Our process includes:
1. Assessment & Goal-Setting
We start with a detailed conversation and assessment to identify your needs and set clear, achievable goals.
2. Individualized Skill-Building
You’ll work with a trained staff member to practice and strengthen the skills that matter most to you—whether that’s managing medications, budgeting or cooking healthy meals.
3. Real-World Application
Skills are practiced in real-life settings to make sure they’re practical and sustainable.
4. Progress Monitoring
We’ll regularly review your goals, celebrate your successes and adjust your plan as needed.
